#1 Tie-On Newborn Baby Booties Crochet Pattern

Crochet baby booties patterns are among the most popular handmade patterns. Many of us have a nostalgic partner saved from childhood. They are perfect gifts for baby showers and can also be made for donations to charities. Crochet booties are quick and easy to make. The 15 patterns here will keep you interested with their variety of stitches and styles.

I’ve been looking for a while for a quick and easy booty pattern to knit for charity that uses leftover DK yarn, has built-in lacing, and doesn’t require picking up stitches. Pretty big question! So, after a fruitless search, I decided to start designing!
I love the idea of having an all-in-one ankle boot with ties, as the lace-up bootie holds up so much better on the toes. Plus, with ties attached to the booty, there’s no need to worry about ties coming loose and getting lost.
Each pair uses approximately 28m of DK (light weight) yarn (about 15g).

Materials:
Needles: 4 mm
Yarn: DK (Light worsted weight) 28 m (alternatively, you could use 2 strands of 4 ply/sport/fingering weight yarn held together, or worsted weight yarn for slightly larger booties)
Sewing needle for sewing in ends and seams
