10 Cue Crochet Dresses Pattern Ideas For This Year!

#6 Audrey Dress Crochet Pattern

I crochet for about four years before I took the courage to try making a crochet dress. I was worried that I was talented enough, I was worried about wasting all that time to do it and it didn’t fit well, and I was also worried about not liking it enough to do and wear it. I started trying on dresses a few years ago and I must say I’m totally addicted. Give me a few years and I think most of my wardrobe will be handmade crochet clothes. How awesome will that be? If you’re keen to knit your own dresses, here are a few designs I’ve bookmarked in my Etsy account. Just a warning, most of these are pretty complicated (I like a challenge!) So if you want something manageable, try my tee dress pattern.

This is my first foray into pattern writing, so be nice to me! I would love to hear constructive feedback and criticism. But most of all I would LOVE to see what you create. Feel free to tag @snakewoodandgrace on Insta or #audreydress

The dress can be made to fit any size. Using a slightly larger hook ie 4.5mm will allow for more stretch. You can also add a couple of raises around the hips if necessary.
For a two-color midi dress in size 8-10, you will need approximately 1 ball of 200g of each color, more will be needed if you choose to make a maxi.

I highly recommend trying it on for size once you’ve sewn the bodice … it’s so much easier to undo a few slip stitches and add an extra round or two than to find it won’t fit at the end!
